PROJECT DESTINATION

Kilifi, Kenya, nestled along the picturesque coastline between Mombasa and Malindi, offers a unique and fulfilling destination for rural primary school volunteer teaching. This charming town is characterized by its natural beauty, rich Swahili culture, and warm community spirit. As a volunteer, you’ll work in under-resourced schools surrounded by lush landscapes, making a significant impact on eager young learners. Beyond teaching, you’ll immerse yourself in local traditions, engage with vibrant markets, and explore stunning beaches. Supported by dedicated educators and community members, your efforts in Kilifi will leave a lasting mark on both the students and your own life, creating an unforgettable volunteer experience.

FLIGHTS & ARRIVAL

A friendly face from our Base Team will be ready to meet you at the airport and drive you to our Volunteer Accommodation. Just look out for the Volunteer Safari Initiative sign!

SAFETY

Upon arrival, you'll receive a comprehensive induction to prepare you for project work, local culture, people, and wildlife. This orientation will also cover essential safety information.

Our Volunteer Safari Initiative base teams provide 24/7 support, ensuring you have an incredible and unforgettable experience in Africa.

Once you fill out the application form below, a Destination Specialist will reach out to discuss your volunteer experience and answer any questions you might have. When you’re ready to proceed with your booking, we’ll provide you with a booking form. A deposit will be needed at that point to secure your spot.

The weekly cost will reduce if you stay for longer than 2 weeks, book with a friend or a family member.
