Welcome to the Volunteer Safari Initiative’s (VSI) Entrepreneurship and Self-Sustainability Training program, a transformative project dedicated to empowering women and youth in Kenya. At VSI, we believe in the power of entrepreneurship to drive economic growth and social change. Our program aims to equip participants with essential skills in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and digital literacy, as well as practical skills in dressmaking, beading, crocheting, and hairdressing. By fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and providing comprehensive training, we help unlock the potential of women and youth, enabling them to become successful entrepreneurs and self-reliant individuals. This, in turn, allows them to contribute meaningfully to their communities and achieve sustainable livelihoods. Project Highlights

PROJECT DESTINATION

Malindi, a vibrant coastal town in Kenya, offers an idyllic setting for our Entrepreneurship and Self-Sustainability Training program. Known for its stunning beaches, rich Swahili culture, and historical landmarks, Malindi provides a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Volunteers will immerse themselves in a welcoming community, experiencing the warmth and hospitality of the local people. The town’s dynamic environment, characterized by bustling markets and a thriving local economy, creates an ideal backdrop for impactful volunteer work. Engaging with local businesses and community organizations, volunteers will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of women and youth, helping to foster economic growth and sustainable development in the region.

FLIGHTS & ARRIVAL

A friendly face from our Base Team will be ready to meet you at the airport and drive you to our Volunteer Accommodation. Just look out for the Volunteer Safari Initiative sign!

SAFETY

Upon arrival, you'll receive a comprehensive induction to prepare you for project work, local culture, people, and wildlife. This orientation will also cover essential safety information.

STAFF

Our Volunteer Safari Initiative base teams provide 24/7 support, ensuring you have an incredible and unforgettable experience in Africa.

Once you fill out the application form below, a Destination Specialist will reach out to discuss your volunteer experience and answer any questions you might have. When you’re ready to proceed with your booking, we’ll provide you with a booking form. A deposit will be needed at that point to secure your spot.

The weekly cost will reduce if you stay for longer than 2 weeks, book with a friend or a family member.
