Nestled along the Indian Ocean, Watamu offers a haven for marine life, making it the perfect destination for turtle conservation projects. A friendly face from our Base Team will be ready to meet you at the airport and drive you to our Volunteer Accommodation. Just look out for the Volunteer Safari Initiative sign!
SAFETY
Upon arrival, you'll receive a comprehensive induction to prepare you for project work, local culture, people, and wildlife. This orientation will also cover essential safety information.

Our Volunteer Safari Initiative base teams provide 24/7 support, ensuring you have an incredible and unforgettable experience in Africa.

Once you fill out the application form below, a Destination Specialist will reach out to discuss your volunteer experience and answer any questions you might have. When you’re ready to proceed with your booking, we’ll provide you with a booking form. A deposit will be needed at that point to secure your spot.

FROM 750 Per week
The weekly cost will reduce if you stay for longer than 2 weeks, book with a friend or a family member.
